Governor pays tribute to former Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh

SHIMLA: Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla attended a solemn tribute ceremony held today at the historic Padam Palace complex in Rampur, Shimla district, to mark the fourth death anniversary of former Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh.

 

Paying homage, the Governor remembered Virbhadra Singh as a towering statesman, visionary leader and devoted public servant. He stated that Raja Sahib's immense contributions to the holistic development of Himachal Pradesh are deeply etched in the hearts of its people, and his life of service continues to inspire generations.

 

The Governor also highlighted Virbhadra Singh’s firm commitment to preserving the spiritual and cultural identity of Himachal Pradesh. “By enacting legislation against religious conversions, he worked with dedication to protect the sanctity and cultural fabric of this Dev Bhoomi,” the Governor said “His efforts reflected a deep sense of responsibility towards maintaining the purity and heritage of the state.”

 

The ceremony was attended by family members, dignitaries, local residents were present on the occasion.
