Panipat: To make Census 2027 more convenient, transparent, and technologically advanced, the option of self-enumeration has been introduced and will remain available till April 30, 2026. On Monday, Deputy Commissioner Dr. Virender Kumar Dahiya carried out his own self-enumeration at the District Secretariat, Panipat, and encouraged residents to actively participate in this initiative.
Dr. Dahiya stated that citizens can visit the official portal se.census.gov.in, register using their mobile number, and fill in details of themselves and their family online. He emphasized that this digital process will save time while ensuring transparency and accuracy in the census.
He further informed that the self-enumeration facility is available in 16 languages, and the form consists of 33 questions. This system allows citizens to enter their own data, making the overall process more efficient and reliable.
The DC added that active participation of government officials and employees will serve as motivation for the general public and contribute to the success of the census campaign. He appealed to all employees to take part enthusiastically and complete their self-enumeration within the stipulated time.
He also mentioned that house listing under the census will be conducted from May 1 to May 30. This phase is a crucial part of the process, during which basic data related to every building, house, and family will be collected.
Dr. Dahiya urged the public to cooperate with census officials and avoid providing any misleading information so that this important task can be completed efficiently and systematically in the district. SDM Mandeep Kumar was also present on the occasion.
