Chandigarh: Acting swiftly on a tip off, Patiala police averted a sensational inter-rivalry crime by arresting three operatives of a foreign-based absconding Gangster Gurwinder Singh @ Gurbaj, who were actively involved in arms trafficking, extortion and other criminal activities Preliminary interrogation revealed that they were tasked to carry target killing of a rival member of Goldy Dhillon Gang by Gurwinder Singh @ Gurbaj presently based in Portugal and was mastermind behind firing incident at Sector 5, Chandigarh. An FIR has been registered at PS Rajpura, Patiala. Further investigation in process, said the police.
