Today, during a surprise visit to the driving test track in Phagwara, the Transport Minister interacted with people present there for licensing and listened to the problems they were facing. He also summoned SDM Jashanjeet Singh and RTO Major Erwin Kaur to the spot for immediate action.

During the discussion, the Cabinet Minister informed that the Punjab Government has fixed the fee at Rs. 500 for a learner’s license and Rs. 1385 for a permanent driving license.

He appealed to the public not to fall into the trap of agents and to make use of the online application facility provided by the Punjab Government for obtaining licenses.

He directed the officials to ensure timely processing of licenses, registration certificates (RCs), and other related documents so that people do not face any inconvenience.
