Chandigarh: Karam Vir was unanimously elected president of the Tribune Employees Union (Registered) during its biennial elections for 2026. The results were declared today by Returning Officer Rajesh Malik.
A total of 12 office-bearers and 25 members of the executive committee were also elected unanimously for a two-year term from 2026 to 2028. Sushil Kumar Tiwari was elected senior vice-president, while Ruchika M. Khanna was chosen as general secretary for the third consecutive term. Lokesh Kumar and Sameer Sharma were elected vice-presidents of the union.
Among other office-bearers, Kalyan Singh Bhainsora was elected secretary, Vijay Chawla as office secretary, and Sukhbir Singh and Rajesh Kumar Sharma as joint secretaries. Inder Kumar and Lavpreet Singh were elected publicity/organisation secretaries, while Ritu was elected finance secretary.
Those elected as members of the executive committee include Evinder Pal Singh, Rohit Awasthi, Amar Singh Walia, Arvind Saini, Sunil Kumar, Tarsem Chand, Pardeep Kumar, Gariesh Thakur, Chander Pal, Anand Chhabra, Ajay Singh Chauhan, Subhash Verma, Rajinder Kumar, Prakash Singh Gosain, Avtar Singh, Ravinder Singh Nayal, Kashmir Singh, Sandeep Agrawal, Monica, Satnam Singh, Ashwani Kumar Sharma, Des Raj Yadav, Javed Ahmad, Ram Abhilash and Jagtar Singh.
Tarun Sharma and Joginder Bhatia were appointed assistant returning officers.
