SAS Nagar : In the aftermath of recent floods that affected multiple villages and towns across Punjab, the Manav Mangal Group of Schools has contributed Rs. 10 lakh to support relief efforts for the affected families.
The Group’s Director, Sanjay Sardana, handed over the cheque to Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal of Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar (Mohali). The Deputy Commissioner entrusted the funds to the District Red Cross Society for distribution of essential relief material to the impacted families.
Speaking on the occasion, Mittal said, “The floods have caused irreparable losses in Punjab. Citizens, the government, and voluntary organizations are standing shoulder to shoulder with affected people in this difficult time. Contributions like these not only provide timely support but also send a powerful message of compassion and solidarity.” District Education Officer Dr. Ginni Duggal was also present during the event.
Sardana highlighted the hardships faced by people in border areas, saying, “They have suffered both personal and financial losses. It is our duty to step forward in such times and contribute meaningfully to relief efforts.”
The contribution underscores the role of private organizations in supporting disaster-affected communities and strengthening relief operations in Punjab.
