Shimla: The Himachal Pradesh Government on Friday carried out a large-scale reshuffle of Himachal Pradesh Administrative Service (HPAS) officers, transferring and posting 22 officers with immediate effect. The notification was issued by the Department of Personnel in the public interest.
Under the new postings, Sachin Kanwal has been appointed Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Shimla, while Bhupender Kumar has been posted as Managing Director, Himachal Pradesh General Industries Corporation Ltd. Gian Sagar Negi has been transferred as Additional District Magistrate (Protocol), Shimla, and Ekta Kapta has been appointed Additional District Magistrate (Development)-cum-Project Director, DRDA, Sirmaur at Nahan.
The government has also posted Jyoti Rana as Registrar, H.P. University, Shimla, and Lajja Ram Verma as Managing Director, HIMFED. Shilpi Beakta has been assigned the additional charge of Additional Secretary (PWD), while Vikas Shukla has been posted as Additional Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Hamirpur.
Other important transfers include Vinay Sharma as SDM (Urban), Shimla, Vishrut Bharati as Member Secretary, State Commission for Scheduled Castes, Yogesh Chauhan as Additional Director, Medical Education & Research, Dr. Poonam as Additional Director, Dr. Y.S. Parmar Government Medical College, Nahan, and Sanjay Kumar as General Manager, HP Medical Services Corporation Ltd.
Further, Vishwan Mohan Dev Chauhan has been posted as SDM, Kupvi, Munish Kumar Sharma as Joint Director, Medical Education & Research, Oshin as Joint Director, Ayush, Mohan Lal as Regional Transport Officer, Shimla, Kapil Tomar as Joint Director, Youth Services & Sports, Raj Kumar-II as SDM, Bilaspur, Padma Chhodon as SDM, Udaipur (Lahaul & Spiti), Neerja Sharma as SDM, Solan, and Alisha Chauhan as SDM, Karsog.
The reshuffle is aimed at strengthening administrative efficiency and ensuring better governance across departments and districts.
