Shimla: The Himachal Pradesh Government on Friday ordered a major reshuffle in the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), transferring and assigning new responsibilities to 17 senior officers with immediate effect. The orders were issued by the Department of Personnel on the recommendations of the Civil Services Board in the public interest.
As part of the reshuffle, Additional Chief Secretary (Tribal Development) Onkar Chand Sharma has been assigned the additional charge of Additional Chief Secretary (Transport). Rawther Dawood Nazeem, Additional Chief Secretary (Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs), has been given the additional charge of Home & Vigilance, relieving Kamlesh Kumar Pant of the responsibility.
Principal Secretary Devesh Kumar will now head the Finance, Planning, Economics & Statistics and 20-Point Programme departments while continuing to hold the additional charge of Animal Husbandry. M. Sudha Devi has been appointed Principal Secretary (Forest and Industries) and will continue to hold the additional charge of the Personnel Department.
Secretary (Labour & Employment) Priyanka Basu Ingty has been entrusted with the additional charge of Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, while Ashish Singhamar has been assigned additional responsibilities of General Administration, Animal Husbandry and Health & Family Welfare.
Among other key changes, Dr. Yunus has been appointed Secretary (State Taxes & Excise), Sandeep Kumar has been posted as Secretary (Tourism & Civil Aviation), and Amarjeet Singh has been given the additional charge of Urban Development. Vivek Bhatia has been assigned the additional charge of Director, Industries, while Rakesh Kumar Prajapati has been posted as Director, Tourism & Civil Aviation.
The government has also appointed Dr. Ashwani Kumar Sharma as Commissioner, State Taxes & Excise, Vivek Chandel as Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Baddi, Dr. Madhu Chaudhary as Special Secretary (Health & Family Welfare), Om Kant Thakur as Director-cum-Warden of Fisheries, Abhishek Kumar Garg as Managing Director, Himachal Pradesh State Industrial Development Corporation (HPSIDC), and Gursimar Singh as Director, Technical Education, with the additional charge of Managing Director, HP Kaushal Vikas Nigam.
The transfers have come into effect immediately
