Sumit Mishra's exhibition 'Mannequin' inaugurated at Indian Habitat Centre

New Delhi. Art exhibition 'Mannequin' of Sumit Mishra started today at Visual Art Gallery situated at Indian Habitat Centre. Hails from Mumbai Sumit Mishra is a film maker and production designer.


This exhibition will run from 9th-15th April, in which Mishra's 25 solo paintings will be showcased. On the inauguration of this exhibition famous bollywood art director Jayant Deshmukh graced the event as a chief guest. Telivision artist Shruti Ulfat and Ankit Sivach were also present at the event.


They praised Sumit Mishra's artistic expressions and said that art enthusiasts will get a chance to witness various artistic angles via mannequins. Speaking about his exhibition Mishra said that he has tried to express his thoughts, angles and point of view with various mannequins. He said that, " my mannequins are capable of establishing communication with people.


Mannequins in the market and art classes have always spoken with me in an unspoken lenguage. It's possible that after visiting this exhibition, you will get emotional with the mannequins during your next visit to the market."

 

An alumnai of BHU Sumit Mishra has been working in Mumbai's entertainment industry for over two decades. He has worked as production designer for many films and TV serials. His short film 'Amrita' has received more than 20 national and international awards.
