Issue the Names and Numbers of Officers Concerned With Drinking Water Supply

BHOPAL: Urban Development and Housing and Bhopal District In-charge Minister Shri Bhupendra Singh reviewed the drinking water supply system of Bhopal on Tuesday. He said that along with the information about which water tank will supply water at what time, the names and mobile numbers of the officers and employees associated with the work should be made public. These officers-employees should pick up the phones of public representatives and citizens at the earliest.

Minister Shri Singh said that any lapse in drinking water supply will not be tolerated. He said that drinking water should be supplied daily in Neelbad, Goregaon and Suraj Nagar areas also. At present, water is being given in these areas on alternate days.

Commissioner Municipal Corporation Bhopal Shri KVS Chaudhary Kolsani informed that the cement pipeline coming from Kolar Dam belongs to year 1990. It used to leak repeatedly due to pressure. A new steel pipeline has been laid in AMRUT project, which is of 1650 MM with cement coating. The old pipeline was of 1500 mm of cement. He told that earlier the tank which was filled in 6 to 7 hours, now it is filling in 3 hours. Now water tanks will be filled on time in the areas of PGBT, Nariyal Kheda and Kazi Camp. Shri Kolsani said that the problem of dirty water would end in a day or two. Collector Bhopal Shri Avinash Lavania and Additional Commissioner Municipal Corporation Sushri Riju Bafna were also present in the meeting.
