Panchkula: The first state-level Rani Laxmibai Self Defence Training Ceremony will be organized on April 27 at the rest house of Public Works Department, Sector-1, Panchkula. Haryana Education Minister Kanwar Pal Gurjar will be the chief guest at the function. On this occasion, Dr. Mahavir Singh, Additional Chief Secretary, Department of Education, Dr. J. Ganesan, Director General, Secondary Education, and State Project Director, School Education Project Council, Dr. Anshaj Singh, Director, Basic Education, Haryana will be present.
On this occasion, Rani Laxmibai instructors giving self defence training will be honored by giving belts and they will also perform martial arts related to the tricks of self defence. The spokesperson of the Education Department informed that this is the first state-level function of its kind in which the efforts made by the Haryana government regarding the self-defence of the girls will be made known.
